FRE Scholarship Program

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, FRE has been privileged to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to qualified Rwandan students who seek higher education.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a student of Rwandan descent or currently living in Rwanda

  • Must complete a full application, including relevant attachments

  • Must demonstrate financial need (Priority will be given to students attending a university or college in Rwanda for the 2026-2027 academic year)

  • Must showcase academic merit and accomplishments

  • For Renewal Applicants, must have received a scholarship from FRE in the past 12 months

Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are now closed. Applicants will be informed of results by August 30th, 2026.

Application links will be available below once the next cycle opens. New applicants must use the “New Applicants” form, while individuals who have previous received a scholarship from FRE may use the “Renewal Applicants” form for a streamlined process.
